When you sign up for membership, you can start making entries on both the Forum and the Blog. It also allows you to see who else is a member, check out other member's entries, etc. It's really basically a social media format but limited to just the stuff we want to discuss. So, signing up is a good thing to do if you like what you see--joining vs auditing the class, would be an analogy.
Clicking on a member brings up a menu of things you can learn about that member. One of those is the member's profile. Look to see if they have written anything about themselves. You can also enter info on your own profile. It's certainly not required and can be entered and edited whenever you wish. Only you can edit it. Note: when you highlight something for editing, a pop-up appears with options for italics, etc.
There are also icons for adding images and videos. When on your member page, at the far right of the menu is Other. That brings up options for customization of your membership Account, Notifications, and Settings which can be changed whenever you like. So, there are some opportunities with membership status. What you choose to share, will be public; everything else is private--I keep the classroom registry.
Please let me know about any glitches and solutions found, as well as any unnoticed nice features, that others might want to be aware of. This is the place to post those.
